U.S. cooperation with Indonesia

U.S. cooperation with Indonesia. Government of the United States (U.S.) announced a partnership with the Indonesian Government in a program to strengthen the analytical skills and promote economic development of Indonesia.

This program aims to assist Indonesia in developing economic policies needed to support rapid economic growth, inclusive, and sustainable job creation, reducing poverty, and strengthen the ability of communities and institutions in Indonesia to conduct economic analysis.

"We look forward to working with the Government of Indonesia as a partner, to improve the business climate, encourage investment and trade, fostering productive employment, and strengthening non-banking financial sector," said the Director of USAID / Indonesia Walter North, as quoted in his press conference to Okezone, Wednesday (03/30/2011).

End, these efforts will also promote the objectives of the comprehensive partnership between the U.S. and Indonesia to enhance prosperity, protect the environment, strengthen security, enhance mutual understanding, and ensure the safety of the people of Indonesia and the United States.
